final project at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design
This project won the Andy prize 2.0 for excellence in craftsmanship in the field of fashion and footwear design.
The project questions the symbolic function of the shoe as a tool for moving forward and presents a new interpretation of shoes.
Materials: Chrome Leather, Vegetable-tanned sole leather, Basalt stones. Working techniques: Traditional shoemaking, wet molding, chiseling.

I am Lior Elbaz, a designer from Israel. I completed my degree in Fashion and Footwear Design at Bezalel Academy.
My work is driven by a profound appreciation for beauty and a deep passion for purposeful creation. I draw inspiration from the natural world, blending artistic vision with meticulous craftsmanship to create pieces that resonate with both beauty and meaning. Each design I create is a testament to my commitment to quality and my belief that art should evoke a sense of wonder and connection. Through my work, I aim to explore the intricate relationship between form and function, and to create pieces that not only adorn but also inspire.
